pacific law office

Proposed design for a private law firm in the Pacific Northwest.

The client proclaimed the importance of agriculture.  The office is located in a town which is known for producing 85% of the United States hops.  The expressed structural columns were derived from the method used to grow hops (a "Y" shaped column with rope stretching to the ground).

The client required a modest program and a modest budget.  Practical and efficient layouts combine with flexible work space and local materials create a building that relates to its context and is cost effective.
